The 49507 Project
This section showcases the talented artists I had the privilege to photograph during the creation of the 49507 Project murals. The 49507 Project is a community-led initiative in Grand Rapids that uses public art to tell stories of resilience, culture, and history in neighborhoods affected by systemic oppression. These murals were created to reflect the voices and experiences of the people who live here, and being able to document the artists as they brought these works to life was an incredible experience.
